Who we are
This website is published by Thiruchendur Murugan Temple Guide (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@thiruchendurmurugantemple.com.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. Our contact form does not send data to our servers; it opens your own email app. If you email us, we receive your email address, name and whatever you write, and use it only to reply and to correct the website.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a limited period.
- Aggregate analytics (if enabled). We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count page views without identifying you. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
Third-party services
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces; your browser requests them from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
- Google Maps is embedded on the contact page. When that page loads, Google may set cookies and process data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
These providers act under their own privacy policies.
How we use data
We use personal data only to answer your messages, maintain and secure the website, and understand in aggregate which pages are useful. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable laws, you may ask us to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. Write to contact@thiruchendurmurugantemple.com; we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Retention and security
We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and then delete them. The website is served only over HTTPS.
Children
The website is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We will update this policy if our practices change and show the new effective date at the top of this page.
